I'm just drooling over my Entertainment Weekly today!
I also found that EW has a pretty cool page dedicated to all things Grey's.

This week is another repeat.
From TV Guide: Let the Angels Committ...
Derek receives a surprise visit from his sister (Embeth Davidtz); Cristina scrubs in for a rare procedure, to the envy of her peers; Addison and George treat a pregnant woman with an unusual problem; and Alex ponders his future in medicine.
And I just read this about Sandra Oh...
Love Notes: Divorce Final for Grey's Star
Per Us Weekly, Sandra Oh's divorce from writer-director Alexander Payne, with whom she did Sideways, was finalized on Dec. 21. The couple wed Jan. 1, 2003, and Oh filed for divorce 15 months later.... American Idol Carrie Underwood is dating Dallas Cowboys QB Tony Romo, says In Touch.... Kate Moss and on-again/off-again beau Pete Doherty may tie the knot this week in London, reports the U.K.'s Daily Mail. Now, I'm just spitballing here, but... maybe a honeymoon in Colombia?
Speaking of Sandra, I have been watching Six Feet Under on HBO On Demand, and caught her in one of the funeral scenes as a porn star. She was hilarious!!!
And check out what I got for Christmas...
Hope you have a happy new year! I'm looking forward to some new shows in January!

I just read on TV Guide's site that George and Callie will be getting engaged!
Posted by Robin at 8:35 PM 0 comments
Well sweeps are over, and that means tonight's show is a repeat. But it's a good one! You can also catch the first episode of Ugly Betty. Or you could watch Scrubs. I can't believe they put it up against Grey's! Well, I am getting a Tivo for Christmas and I can't wait!
Sometimes a Fantasy - Grey's Anatomy
Cristina tries to help Preston cope with his hand tremor; Izzie attempts to return to the hospital for the first time since she quit the program; Alex treats a foster child (Abigail Breslin) with an incredibly high pain threshold (and long history of injuries); and George wants Callie to move out of Meredith's house. Finn: Chris O'Donnell.

I was at the mall this weekend and saw a giant poster in the NY&Co window of Derek and Meredith! So I had to check out the store's site to see what was up with that. Looks like Ellen Pompeo is modeling their clothes - with Patrick Dempsy as a very nice accessory! There is a little video on the site too about their shoot.

I was reading a recent arcticle about ER and how it's trying to steam things up a bit to draw in the Grey's Anatomy viewers. Including brining in John Stamos this season. I think he's a little too old for Parminder Nagra. Kinda creeps me out, even if he is hot. She's probably the same age as his nieces on Full House! But ER is always good at the big picture, medical drama stuff, and most people I know who are fans of that show, aren't fans of Grey's. I kind of gave up on it a few years ago - I'm not interested much since all the old characters are gone.
But in the same issue of EW, I saw an ad for a movie staring John Stamos and Eric Dane. The two docs are both staring in the The Wedding Wars on A&E. Here's a description from from the site...
Love, family, politics and the right to marry intersect in the A&E Network original movie Wedding Wars. The romantic comedy from Executive producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron (Chicago, The Reagans), stars John Stamos (ER, Full House), Eric Dane (X-Men: The Last Stand, Grey's Anatomy), James Brolin (The Reagans, Traffic, Catch Me if You Can) Bonnie Somerville (The O.C.,Grosse Point), Sean Maher (Firefly, Brian's Song) and Rosemary Dunsmore (The Grid).
Shel (Stamos), a gay party planner, agrees to organize the nuptials for straight brother Ben (Dane) to Maggie (Somerville), the Governor of Maine's (Brolin) daughter. After Shel finds out that Ben, a campaign manager for his future father-in-law, is behind the governor's speech against gay marriage, he decides to go on strike for equal rights. Shel's strike picks up steam and eventually spreads nationwide, leaving the impending wedding vows in the hands of a tacky planner and overall, in question.
Wedding Wars is directed by Jim Fall (Trick, The Lizzie McGuire Movie) from a script by Stephen Mazur (Liar, Liar).
Not sure when it's on. You'll have to check your local listings. :)

Look's like Mer's sister is back this week.
From TV Guide..
Burke and Cristina's relationship is strained; Meredith's half sister, Molly (Mandy Siegfried), is admitted to the hospital; and Mark and Derek must work together when two close-knit brothers seek medical help.
Looks like reruns start on Dec 7

Ok, so for those of you who like me are also fans of The Office, be sure to set up the VCR to tape Grey's on Friday!
NBC is screwing everything up by running 40 minute episodes, and this week's is a must see with the reunion of Jim and Pam.
I just checked the listings and the show is running at 8pm Friday EST (phew!).
And here's the scoop on the news episode from TV Guide...
Staring at the Sun - Grey's Anatomy
George's ailing father (George Dzundza) needs heart surgery; Meredith is determined to have a more positive outlook on life; Derek and Addison try to be civil to each other; and Richard endeavors to reunite with Adele (Loretta Devine). Ellis Grey: Kate Burton.

Some of my favorite scenes and lines from the last 2 shows were all about George.
Loved George's Christina impression: So McDreamy did the McNasty with a McHottie. Bastard!
That was such a riot.
Then I loved how he was rubbing his case in Alex's face. Two uteruses.
And of course the whole slap fight between George & Alex on the camping trip was hilarious!!!!
Looks like there will be more of George next week - as the show ended with his father in the hospital.

Looks like Ellen Pompeo's love life is in better shape than Mer's! The actress is engaged to her boyfriend, Chris Ivery, a record producer.

From TV Guide...
Episode Detail: Where the Boys Are - Grey's Anatomy
The men of Seattle Grace go on a camping trip together; Addison and Callie team up on a case; Meredith assists Mark Sloan with a procedure unlike any she has experienced; and Bailey confronts Cristina on her recent actions at the hospital.

I just read that Brooke Shields and Katie Holmes - despite their opinions of Tom Cruise - are friends and got together to watch the premiere of Grey's.

A picture from Thursday's new episode seen on this site has Mer and McSteamy sitting together at the Emerald Tavern. What could be up with that? Some of the captions are lame, but some are kinda funny.
And in other Grey's Anatomy news, Kate Walsh makes it hard to dislike Addison because she's out there doing some good work. She's been promoting breast cancer awareness and is doing work with Planned Parenthood. She also did a Q&A with People.
Shonda Rhimes has also denied rumors that she plans to replace Isaiah Washington with ER stalwart Eriq La Salle. Hmmm, Dr. Benton would be a nice addition to the cast though!

I do have to agree with this article that Alex's has been growing as a character.
Alex shows new dimension
I know Grey's fans have all heard the Frey's "How To Save A Life." Audra told me I need to get their album so it's on my wish list. And it seems the show is giving them a nice boost. Frey's Anatomy
You know you're famous when the media starts saying you're too skinny! No one's every happy and it seems Ellen Pompeo has had do deal with some criticism.
Isaiah Washington has apologized for the scuffle with Patrick Dempsy, according to this story. I also read that he canceled a taping for the Ellen show after she made fun of the spat.
You can now get videos from Grey's, Desparate Housewives and Lost from Verizon's VCast Service. I'm not even that obsessed!
One thing I love about this show, is that while Meredith is super slim, there are characters like Baily and Callie who aren't! How many other shows have that!
People magazine has some burning questions about the show that are worth checking out.

I am seriously confused about tonight's show. I was watching ABC all day (I'm home sick) and didn't see one commercial! But they did say 2 hours of Grey's. I think they are reshowing the season premier.
From TV guide...
Next week's episode - Let the Angel's Committ
Derek receives a surprise visit from his sister (Embeth Davidtz); Cristina scrubs in for a rare procedure, to the envy of her peers; Addison and George treat a pregnant woman with an unusual problem; and Alex ponders his future in medicine.
Just have to say that I KNEW the woman in the clip from last week would be his sister!
Are you watching Ugly Betty before Grey's? It hilarious. I admit, I tape the office, but I catch up on Betty at abc.com.

I forgot to post my comments on last week's show! D'oh!
Well I felt really bad for McDreamy. He was so hurt by what Addison told him that I don't even think he heard what Meredith told him about Finn.
And I just love Bailey. Loved her storyline this week and what the chief told her. That being a mom makes her a better doctor. That other doc was such a jerk! And they were all so mean to her at the m&m. I loved when Alex stood up for her.
I think Burke needs to speak up! If that was my doctor - I would be concerned. But he's pretty much not telling anyone that he's having the shakes - and even though he had Christina to help this time - I think it's going to spell trouble.
But I did like how he put Izzie in her place! I hadn't thought about that before - how it was all her fault that he got shot!
Be sure to read the Grey's Writers blog this week (link is over --->) and read about all the reasons why watching Grey's is good for you!

Here are some interesting pieces I found on Grey's...
This guy thinks Izzie should have been arrested for what she did and charged with manslaughter!
Interesting But Irresponsible
And I keep hearing about how Patrick Dempsy and Isaiah Washington had a brawl.
This one is about Washington's supposed "short fuse"
Isaiah Washington Has a History of Violence?
Well there's also talk about how he supposedly made a gay slur.

'Grey's Anatomy' star T.R. Knight says he's gay
Associated Press
NEW YORK --
Grey's Anatomy star T.R. Knight says he's gay, but hopes people don't consider that "the most interesting part of me." The 33-year-old actor addressed rumors of his sexuality in a statement to People magazine Thursday.
"I guess there have been a few questions about my sexuality, and I'd like to quiet any unnecessary rumors that may be out there," Knight's statement read. "While I prefer to keep my personal life private, I hope the fact that I'm gay isn't the most interesting part of me."
Knight plays Dr. George O'Malley on the popular ABC drama. A former stage actor, his television credits also include CSI: Crime Scene Investigation and Law & Order: Criminal Intent.
Knight's Grey's Anatomy character, a bumbling, puppy-eyed surgeon, has long been in love with Dr. Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo).

So Denny's message to his parents had me bawling! How sad!!!!! But it was nice to have him say goodbye sort of. And did you see that check! Izzie doesn't need to go back to work now.
And Meredith stoned was hilarious. I had gall bladder surgery and was heavy iv meds so I know how loopy you can get - but I was more just out of it. That would be me more if I was drunk. LOL! I loved when she called out to Addison and then McSteamy, as well as that scene with Derek, Finn and George in her room.
And what about the triangle now? The whole thing sort of fell apart. Derek walked away. Meredith told Finn not to come back. Whole thing had me sad.
But then the really nice twist: Callie and McSteamy! That is going to be messy! Can't wait to see what's next!

I just read some crazy rumors in TV guide about McVet leaving, Meredith being preggo and Addison tossing her wedding ring!
So this week's episode is called: What I Am
Addison doubts her medical skills; Cristina pushes Burke's rehab; one of the interns has a personal medical emergency; and Izzie gets a surprise. Fred Ward guest stars as Denny Duquette's father.
And did you know that the Grey's Anatomy premier had a Best Week Ever. You can watch here, but it won't work with Firefox!

That was was some dream that Meredith had! Too bad reality wasn't as nice. My favorite line was something like "I'm dating and it comes with snacks!" But then I love how Mer had that little fit after her date with McDreamy and telling the guys to stop looking at each other! That was hilarious.
How funny is Christina? She will tell you anything to your face - "Just when I thought you were boring." And I liked her little challenge for Burke with the chickens too.
I also loved superkid Abigail Breslin, who was so great in Little Miss Sunshine. I thought Alex was very sweet with her and with Izzy at the end. He does have a softer side sometimes and it's nice to see it.
Izzy has really lost it. I feel bad for her - but come on - who would stand there all day, seriously.
And my sister was hoping that McSteamy would be taking Addison back to New York with him. But it looks like he's going to stay - I bet his run in with the chief will lead to him getting a job at Seattle Grace.
Those are my thoughts for now... will probably add more later :)
Posted by Robin at 6:10 PM 1 comments
I usually just think of him as Jack - but since there were hospital scenes in the Jackback last night on Lost - I realized he's also a Dr. Shepard. That was one crazy opening! Don't know how I can deal with my two favorite shows on back-to-back nights. It was nice having some time in between to obsess.

From Yahoo Entertainment...
Grey's Anatomy is getting a new McCharacter.
Well, not new exactly, but a familiar pretty face is about to become a permanent third-season fixture.
Eric Dane is set to join the cast of the hit ABC drama, reprising his role as plastic surgeon Dr. Mark Sloan, Dr. McDreamy's ex-best friend whom Meredith, Izzie and their fellow female interns cleverly dubbed "McSteamy." Ooh, tension.
The fresh meat got his nickname when the ladies spied him stitching up his own face after Patrick Dempsey's Dr. Derek Shepherd spied him flirting with Meredith and let him have it.
(Mark is a bad boy, having carried on an affair with Derek's wife, Addison, prompting the Shepherds' cross-country move to Seattle from New York. And Addison didn't seem too unhappy when he showed up in her neonatal unit last season, if you catch our drift.)
Dane most recently played Multiple Man in X-Men: The Last Stand and before that had a recurring stint as Phoebe's boyfriend Jason on Charmed. The actor is married to Rebecca Gayheart, who's currently tracking down scoops as an intrepid reporter on Fox's Vanished.

So I loved tonight's show. I'll post my reviews later. But I did just read that the ratings for the first week ROCKED on the new night. It was No. 1 in the crucial 18- to 49-year-old demographic.

Just had to say a few words about Denny. I know I'm going to miss Jeffery Dean Morgan. What's with all the roles as a dead/dying guy? He's the dead father on one of my other current favorite shows, Weeds, too. Well did you hear Shonda Rhimes is creating a new show just for him! He's also doing a movie with Lisa Kudrow and Hilary Swank called P.S. I Love You. Um, duh.

So I wasn't one of these people who started watching Grey's from Day 1. I was already hooked on Desperate Housewives and Lost and was reluctant to add another show to my taping schedule.
Well I have to thanks my friends Tania and Audra for creating a monster. They would talk about Grey's at our weekly Night Owls chats at RAKScraps and that got me curious. And well, I think I watched one show and I was in.
So I watched every episode since, rented season 1 as soon as I could and watched all of those epidsodes (more than once, too). Read all the recaps at Television Without Pity. Scoured the Grey Matter blog. Look for articles on the show. Got my sister hooked on the reruns. And I waited patiently all summer for last Thursday.
And well last Thursday, I screwed up my VCR settings and I was sooooooooooooooooooo devestated. But luckily, ABC reshowed the premeir on Friday and I am a much happier person!

So I thought instead of posting all my crazy McRants on my other blog, I would start writing them here! And I thought I'd share any news about the show and my friends are more than welcome to contribute too!
